Smart Money Discovery — Step 1: Filter First, Eliminate Fast

By setting clear initial filters for smart wallets, you can dramatically reduce the cost of further analysis — one round of screening is enough to eliminate most of the noise. Here’s an example of my own parameters:

• Time period: last 30 days

• Win rate: ≥ 60%

• Account balance: ≥ $5,000

• Realized profit: ≥ $5,000

• Number of completed trades: 5–100

  Note: Fewer than 5 trades means too little data to assess consistency; more than 100 often indicates high-frequency bots. I prefer mid-to-low frequency traders with more human-like trading behavior.

• ROI: ≥ 20%

  Formula: ROI = PnL / max(100, starting account value + largest net deposit). Focus is on identifying high-quality wallets with sustained profitability.

After applying these “hard criteria,” only 300 wallets remain for deeper review and copy trading.

Smart Money Discovery — Step 2: Preview the PNL Curve

On HyperX’s Smart Money Discovery page, all core metrics are displayed on a single screen. My most-used feature here is the 📈 ROI Trend Chart, which lets me quickly run a second round of filtering without wasting time opening each wallet’s details. My criteria:

• Instantly eliminate wallets with large drawdowns — if the curve shows extreme volatility and sharp swings, it means high risk.

• Exclude wallets that stay in loss for long periods.

• Remove wallets driven by a single lucky spike — if ROI stays low most of the time and only jumps due to one big profit, I see it as “unsustainable.”

In short, just a few seconds of glancing at the trend chart can dramatically narrow down my shortlist of smart money wallets worth deeper analysis.

⚠️ Tip: If the 30-day ROI chart isn’t enough to judge stability, switch the time period to “All.”

Smart Money Discovery — Step 3: Check the Trade Stats Popup

In HyperX’s Trade Stats popup, you can quickly get an overview of a wallet’s trading profile — perfect for deeper filtering. I focus on two key metrics:

• Traded Token Types — This helps me see whether the wallet focuses on major coins or prefers altcoins. Major-coin traders tend to have a steadier style, while altcoin traders often chase higher volatility and potential returns, with higher risk appetite. Pick according to your own preference.

• Best Trade Profit — I prefer wallets that achieve strong profits multiple times, rather than those whose track record is inflated by a single lucky hit. Consistent profitability > one-off windfalls.
